very hot & interesting discussion here! well, i've discovered a very great attractive & unifying concept for us. i call it EVOLUTIONARY CREATION! IT MIGHT ACCOMMODATE ALL OF US HERE. ITS AN IDEA THAT GOD MIGHT HAVE USED THE FORCES OF NATURE (E.G. EVOLUTION) TO SHAPE THE WORLD WE KNOW TODAY. just a cooling & closing remark for this action pack site!!!!

Need Some Education On EVOLUTION? Start Here! Perry & Axal take note!
by Seeker4 inperry started a thread on evolution/atheism, which from his very first post showed an incredible ignorance of evolution and natural selection.
axal's comments on the thread were just asinine - how all the atheists in his area were at the strip clubs fighting over women and fornicating!
i have to say that i live in a small town and have been here for half a century, and i couldn't name five people that i know here who are atheist.

Where exactly is Satan?
by IronClaw insince leaving the jw's most of us have also left most of their doctrine.
so that being the case, most of us have left the wt understanding of 1914. now you know that the wt claims that satan was hurled out of heaven in that year down to the vicinity of the earth.
so the question is: if 1914 is just another year to us, then what are your thoughts as to the whereabouts of satan and his followers?.

More thoughts on Satan the Devil
by lovelylil inthe other day, we were discussing whether satan is a real person (fallen angel) or just the personification of evil.
i was trying to see people's thoughts on this topic because many christians i know claim satan is not real.
even clergy today teach this.

would it be possible that all of our preconceived idea about God & Satan are entirely or partially incorrect? i think its very likely. the whole idea of good and evil stems from the polaristic view of the bible.

JW's - Satanic Cult or just wrong-headed religion?
by AK - Jeff inthe evils of the religion are well documented here and elsewhere - but does that prove to you that they are indeed 'satanic', under the direction of satan?
or are they just screwed up?
jeff .

i strongly felt its a wrong headed religion equipped with a very effective mind trapping system that amazingly convince people that they are believing the truth. as for being satanic cult or not it all depends upon your belief on the bible. (honestly, i have several doubts about the bible itself being inspired by god.)

Your thoughts and ideas on how and why the WTS.started, a background study.
by thetrueone inhi folks, i've been reading your comments in this forum for awhile now, and they certaintly have been enlighting, but i'm interested in your .
ideas on who, why and how the organization started, and how did it maintain itself for all these years.
what was the underlining intent of the people who started.

James wood, Thanks for summing that up. Throughout years of service, I’m feeling such thing. I’m beginning to dislike organized or institutionalized religion. Upon pondering on jesus activities and speeches like the one she had with the Samaritan, he seemed entirely against any institutionalized form of religion. You said: I think that today's typical apostate basically sees this organization for the high control false cult that it is, and just wants to get away and get on with life. We do not have any use for a substitute "guru" or "another cult experience". Many have a permanent disdain for organized religion - whether good or bad, that is what WTS has done to us. And it is amazing how young many of these people are who are leaving. True indeed. Keep the free ideas here burning!!!
